Skycrest School takes a biblical view of educating children, with safety as one of their five key value propositions. As part of their commitment to campus security, the school has prioritized the implementation of advanced surveillance systems for schools that meet modern standards. Recently, school administrators desired to increase the quality of their outdated surveillance system by upgrading to a full 4K IP system with Surveillance Technology, Inc. (STI).
A new 16 channel H.265 4K NVR records four 24/7 color IP cameras covering the school’s three exterior play areas. In an earlier phase of work, STI installed thirteen 4K IP traditional IR turret-style cameras to monitor the church hall, classroom hallways, and labs, as well as broad views of all areas on campus. Three 360 degree 32 Megapixel ColorMax cameras were added, which provide 24/7 color footage even in night vision mode. These cameras each contain four varifocal lenses, allowing users to customize the field of view in 4K. For example, you could choose to have just one lens zoomed tightly on a specific area of interest, and still have broad coverage of everything else with the other three lenses.
Surveillance Technology has a great deal of experience equipping schools to safeguard their students. Increasingly sophisticated cameras have allowed STI to provide comprehensive coverage of the entire campus, while maintaining focus on key areas of concern.
