Brynwood Condominiums are nestled between the tennis courts and a lush fairway of the Countryside Country Club. The property consists of three residential buildings, with parking on the ground floor. Surveillance Technology Inc. (STI) was consulted to design a community video surveillance system in response to a concerning number of trespassers and recent bicycle thefts.
In one garage, STI installed an 8 channel H.265 4K NVR with seven 4K 8 megapixel IP cameras. Five of these cameras cover the stairs, elevator lobby, and parking areas with traditional IR technology. A 24/7 color camera provides tight views of the pool with a varifocal lens. An Ultra ColorMax camera was dedicated to the bike rack, a primary pain point for Brynwood, as it is in many communities. This camera captures color footage 24/7, even in night vision mode, and offers AI features that owners can customize to meet the needs of their property. For example, the system can identify when a human has entered a defined area, alert property owners, flash lights, and generate an audio alert, if desired.
A similar package was installed in the second garage, covering the front parking area instead of the pool. Because there is a clear line of sight between the buildings, Surveillance Tech was able to connect the two with a wireless bridge. This requires only one internet system to cover both buildings, which can reduce monthly internet fees for the client.
